Jizo with hydrangea

Rainy season is coming to Japanese archipelago. It is also the season of hydrangea (ajisai in Japanese). In our store garden, also, we have some hydrangea flowers in full bloom. So I took a picture of the flower with our Jizo statue.

Hokkori Jizo with Hydrangea

We call this Jizo “hokkori jizo,” literally meaning “healing jizo.” It is also made of granite. This is not that heavy, in fact, its weight is only about 1.4 kg. Therefore, it should be easy to bring this back to your country as Japanese souvenir. This is the final one, so if you like to get, please check ISHIMO online store, or visit our shop in Kyoto city!
